It's all in the wording
March 21st, 2009
I received the email below from a client who experienced immediate results from being very specific in her wording of her project outcomes on her project list. The wording (in my experience) aligns the consciousness with the outcome.
Hi Martha,
I also want you to know that, as a result of our doing this work together, there are more new and surprisingly positive things emerging tied into new grant opportunities to keep us going for ’09.
So your idea about including specific financial outcomes in project descriptions is unfolding in wonderful ways - more $$ potentially coming to (name of company withheld) YEAH!
Seeing without glasses
March 15th, 2009
I made a commitment at the beginning of this year to see without glasses. Recently I had the joy of meeting and working with Lizzie May who is a gifted Bates Eye Method Specialist in London. She was in the Ojai area doing a workshop and seeing private clients. I am more inspired to keep going with my outcome of seeing without glasses. Last night I successfully read my email without any glasses. I have been farsighted so for me that was quite miraculous. I think some part of me had doubt that this could really work for me. It is all about relaxing, blinking (vs. staring) and receiving the words. The similarities between what I am teaching and how to see without glasses are remarkable. More reports as I keep progressing.

One, and then one, and then one
March 12th, 2009
I often see people pick up more than one thing at a time from their in-box, even though they could not possibly do more than one at a time. The illusion is that they are handling more by taking more. They are not. What they are doing is responding to feelings of pressure and urgency.
Why choose the stress of split attention as opposed to being fully attentive to the one thing we are on or with? When I get ahead of myself on the keyboard, I end up backspacing Yet, as I am typing in this moment, I am noticing I am completely here and the words are flowing out one letter at a time onto the page. There is the pleasure, joy, and contentment of being in synch with the letters as they flow onto the page. All stress disappears and the moment is only now. The illusion of thinking I can do anything else but type in this moment is gone. I am giving myself the gift of my full attention to this one.
That is the joy of one, and then one, and then one: Peace, contentment, and voilą! Completion.
Real to-do list
February 22nd, 2009
Do a test to see if your next action list is alive and on purpose. If you go down the list one item at a time and notice an item that is no longer current, not doable, or a someday maybe, delete it, write down the real next action that is doable in a physical step, or move it to the someday maybe list.
Then your next action list becomes your REAL to-do list and is more likely to inspire you to act.
